If We gather ten African Individuals or People With or Of African descent and ask them What they're looking for In a Partner. The Women Would be acting all materialistic you'll be hearing; "I need a man Who can Clear out my bills", ".... A man Who earns over 100 million in a year". Ahan Ahan from a fellow young Person in their twenties have mercy On Men nah.
I understand nobody Wants to suffer but don't You feel It's Wrong to use a Man to escape Poverty?
My gender IS Worse, We'd go Over Sexualizing Women and Making Them feel Insecure, you'll be hearing "Omo...,see ass ", "Omo....see (you guys sha get stop acting innocent for me 😂) I love this girl's". Which Is Wrong and dumb as fuck.
When going Into a long term romantic relationship. We Should look for good qualities that hold It together so the relationship or Marriage (eventually) does not break down in the long run. Intercourse and Money are sweet ( I can relate only to the money part though 😂😭) but after Some time eye go clear, you'll discover the relationship(s) had no depth, lacks love, lacks transparency, accountability and Many Important features.
Instead I feel We can start Prioritizing Intellectualism and not just academic Intellectualism but also financial and emotional Intelligence.
As a young African Youth, If I eventually find myself In a relationship, It Would be A LONG TERM ONE WHERE I WOULD HOPEFULLY MARRY HER, THAT'S IF ITS GOD'S PLAN, BUT I WOULD ALSO WISH TO INVEST IN MY PARTNER NOT JUST MONEY BUT INTELLECTUALISM WISE, CONNECTION AND OPPORTUNITY WISE AND FINALLY SPIRITUALLY AS WELL SO THAT IN CASE I DO NOT EVENTUALLY END UP WITH HER, I MOVE UNTO THE NEXT SHE WILL REALIZE THE IMPACT I HAD AND HER EVENTUAL LIFE PARTNER WOULD APPRECIATE ME FOR IT.
That's the mentality I feel We Should Incorporate In our relationships as African youths, Imagine you and your olodo babe are texting at night and She responds With "Am fine" Instead of "I'm fine" and you're Studying law or English, Oshi lenshey you just Wanna hit and Disappear, LOL! 😂
Or your girl doesn't Understand how Money Works and you're Studying accounting , bro how do y'all Wanna be financially accountable In the relationship, or your boy and you are not communicating well In the relationship, ah ah Blessing, you're a Mass communicator nah, It's not every text that Includes billing, communicate your feelings, Interests and Other relevant things that are concerned With the future of the relationship.
Naomi, You are Preacher in chapter and your man is living far from God omo... I don't know what to say at this point.
In our relationships as young people We have to prioritize Intellectualism, NOT NECESSARILY ONLY ACADEMICS BUT IN OTHER WAYS where We can help Our partners be the best versions of themselves.
So in every detail from talking stage questions, day to day questions, activities, outings and Whatever you guys do in relationships (Sniffs, tears and catterh) Sadly I cannot relate yet.
From our relationships We can build better Marriages and less dysfunctional and broken families. Remember do not look and be carried away by cash and body Shapes and figures.
