I always had these thoughts that are going through my head everytime. I believe it is illegal and inhumane but they are parts of the so called customs and cultures in the world today.
Back then I am been presented as a mere flower that the predators wants to pluck and when I am been plucked, there is no love or compassion just a mere trade by barter. My guardians will exchange my value for a meagre of dowry - tubers of yams and kola nut.
It doesn't matter if the predator that plucked me gets another flower. It is done all in the name to promote the commandment of the Almighty ’to unite and multiply and fill the earth’. The flower has no voice. She is left to clean and become a baby making machine. Typical of the society run by the predators back then.Back then there was nothing called monogamy as polygamy filled the earth.
The devastating part is that once the predator passes on and becomes one with the earth, the poor flower will drink the water used to bath the deceased predator to see if she was the one that killed the predator. Atlas if she did not, she will be married off again to one of the predator male sibling as she is considered to be a thing, a good, something bought off by means of the trade by barter.
The flower is considered a second class citizen which is a mere good that could be sold later on in their point in life.

This is really deep and enlightening, so true and valid and it really makes me understand and feel the pain of the African Woman 👩.
