Omo, Lagos is not for the weak! π
So today, I was heading home when someone stopped me.
At first, I thought he wanted to ask me for money. I was already rehearsing in my head how I would politely decline. π
Luckily, he only asked for directions.
I thought I was safe.
Next thing I knew, this man started telling me he was from the Republic of Benin, that he entered Nigeria through a Dangote trailer, and that he had several electronics with him, including a laptop and an iPhone 11.
At that point, I was already thinking, βBro, abeg, I wan dey go.β π
Then the plot thickened.
He called someone. Spoiler alert: his accomplice.
The first thing the other guy asked was, βShey he get receipt?β π
That was the exact moment I knew I had entered the opening scene of a Lagos scam.
I just hissed, turned around, and walked away.
Lowkey though, part of me wanted to stay and hear how the story would end. I was even tempted to give them a few tips to improve their script. π
Forget me jare.
Whatβs the craziest experience Lagos has ever served you? π
