The journey for love took me to the North.

.....and I'm not gonna lie the journey was long and one too but soon I was love struck.

I met one from Kano and God knows.

I felt she'd be mine from the get go, I used to sing her a love song.

There was too much pressure and competition for her hand in marriage so I left, one of her exes used to ride a Maybach truck.

The pain of her leaving was too much so I took painkiller that left distraut.

Next I met one from Sokoto, her name was Amina.

I was like Amina would you like to be mine but she said no and I feel she's materialistic.

Next I went to Taraba and met Selema she's from Jalingo.

Asked her the same thing she said she'd row, but she loves to involve her friends though.

I wanted to give up yes, but that was till I met my own Queen Elizabeth.

Her name was Kyauta, and I told her Yoruba.

She strangely understands Yoruba and she replied me with mowa.

I thought she'd be like the others, I felt she'd make me regret!

Suprising she stayed with me during my bad time, when other girls left, so...........

I never expected that our paths would cross this way,

or that someone I barely knew would become this close to my heart.

But somewhere between our conversations and the little moments we shared,

I began to see that some people come into our lives for a reason.

You speak of the times I was there when you needed someone,

but honestly, I never saw it as something I had to do.

Your happiness mattered to me, your peace mattered too,

and if my presence could make your difficult days a little lighter,

then I was happy to be there.

Maybe that is what makes this beautiful

not that everything has been perfect,

but that we found comfort in each other's presence.

And if the road ahead is kind to us,

perhaps this is only the beginning of a story

we will one day look back on and smile about.

Everyday with you is like a new year, I loved the way you and your family took me in when I was new here.
