I want to do law, I want to do law.
That is the chants we hear from some law students not all. I was never one that said the chants I want to do law. I wanted to be a medical doctor and a proud one. I wanted to also do acupuncture. I loved it with all my mind and heart.
It changed when I was in JSS2 when I was insulted and decided if I can fight for myself, I can do it all. I decided to be a lawyer something different from everyone in my family. Something unique. Something cool.
I recently saw a post made by the Godfather, where a law student who was in Nigeria Law School in Lagos who jumped down from the storey building and ended her life, committing suicide. I thought hmm, what a tragedy but then again didn't the lady think before falling towards the path of destruction.
She graduated this year and she died this year. Very brilliant and all with the bright future. Why would one commit suicide? Didn't you reminisce over the years in
what you have achieved, KG,Pre Nursery, Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary School.
Years of wasted efforts, years of wasted time, didn't you consider the ones who laboured for you all this years. Didn't you think about God's judgement at the end of the day.
All because of Law School, something that will come and go. If it was meant to be, it would be. For the One who brought you to survive all those hard and difficult times, won't He do it again but you decided to follow the path of destruction.
I am not here to judge or criticize anyone at all mind you, but it is not a natural cause at all.
Heavy is the one that wears the crown I get it but don't feel any pressure from any one in your point in life. If you are feeling overwhelmed in your point in life, take a break, breathe in, breathe out, eat, sleep, listen to music, bath, have fun, anything that will clear your head and make you at peace.
