DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (A POEM)

Africa is a Continent that masks a lot of things.

From Corrupt leadership, Assassinations,Embezzlement, kidnappings and other schemes.

To broken down systems, and Poor

Organizations, and a lot of other

Problems that both the rich and

Common man alike Sees.

​However, asides Poor and broken

down systems we see broken

down relationships and marriages.

From Social Studies and secondary

school teachings and relationships we learnt a lot of things about marriage, especially with the fact that it holds a lot of significant importance ​and like a Pillar it holds a lot of beams.

​A lot of Couples dissowe their

Union for flimsy reasons like bad

attitudes and characters, those

are things that other Couples see

and endure and what each

party manages.

​Some dissowe theirs due to

Infidelity and thats valid because

Marriage is based on Integrity

and accountability.

​Others leave theirs due to lack of

the husband's ​ability to Consumate.

​But the most prevalent and underrated is Domestic Violence.

​Some Parties Panel beat their spouses due to little arguements and frivolities.

Some spouses instead of them to appreciate and learn to manage their life Partners and live with them, the batter them and fail to accommodate.

​A lot have battered their spouses to the extent that they've been stripped ​of all dignity and confidence.

This has made a lot of youths to give up on the marital Institution as now its not really their main Priorities.

The Painful thing is that most partners during the courtship stages mask their true characters with mascara and foundations, don't forget thick perfumes while going for the date(s).

​Love should not be blindly, shine your eyes, don't be dumb, don't be dense.

​A lot of Women Conceal the pain and bruises with Make Up and paint to mask and hide the pain

from friends and third parties.

​Love is no longer enough in marriage Domestic Violence needs to be stopped.

​Its a tool of Manipulation and a pang of control and oppression.

The parties in a marriage should be well treated and not sprawled or Mishandled like savages.

The agenda and Proponents of marital violence should be dropped.

The Pains and struggles they put women through leads to suicide or depression.

There should be justice, fairness, equality and tender care is what I want to see in marriages.

Self-Control, endurance and tolerance

should be an additional Mandate.

​Gone are the days when we urge men to love fully with their hearts, now we love with our sense.

​Instead of getting married for love which may later

fade I'd rather marry for my Peace.
