(TOYIN KNOCKS ON THE DOOR, SHE'S ACCOMPANIED BY NAOMI & ALEXA)
Barrister Mayowa: Come in, (TOYIN & HER FRIENDS ENTER) Ahhh... Oluwatoyin my dear, long time, this one daddy did not come with you, what is wrong?
Toyin: Uncle Mayowa, there is a problem sir, you are our family friend and lawyer and I couldn't be prouder.
You see this my friend here (Points To Naomi), she sent her intimate photos to her boyfriend, misbehaving and soon he started threatening her, she sent him a total of over three million Naira, imagine he wasn't satisfied after exhorting that much from her!
Yesterday he released the pictures with an anonymous WhatsApp number and a Telegram platform, traced to him by trusted inter, all over social media, and now my friend's life is falling apart.
Barrister Mayowa: (PAUSES FOR A MOMENT AND SIGHS) Who is the friend, first Toyin come, points at Naomi) Alright my dear, you and your other friend should go and wait at the reception, I would like to have a word with her. (THEY EXIT, LEAVING ONLY NAOMI WITH HIM) Alright dear, what's your name?
Naomi: I'm Naomi sir, Idahosa Naomi.
Barrister Mayowa: So you are from Edo, you remind me of my friend back in uni days. Your issue is a critical one my dear and judging from the circumstances, you may be away from school for a while. First of all, I may ask, what is the young master's name and why did you send him those nudes.
Naomi: Sir, it is because I loved him, this was before the whole breakup and his name is Temi. (BARRISTER MAYOWA INTERRUPTS)
Barrister Mayowa: That is not clever, my dear, it is just, now before I met my wife after University, I talked to a lot of girls,me that you see, I can never be caught dead asking for such images because of my moral stance and principle and also due to my reputation in school back then, unfortunately these young men nowadays don't fear God, some reason why I would advise you not to do that are, one we are all humans and our feelings may change and two, spiritually it is wrong to do as a Christian, three, you guys are in University,if he's pressured by his friends when he is broke he'll succumb easily.
My candid advice for you is to give me your parent's number, call and report the incident to them and the school management panel, so that your parents can forgive you and the panel may give you a reduced sentence or punishment.
Legally, I will press charges on this guy, but your family must be involved and active, constitutionally and legally speaking he is liable under sections of the Cybercrime act.
Anything you still want to talk about?
Naomi: No sir, but I would like to have your number so we can follow up.
Barrister Mayowa: (Signals her to pass her phone) Okay, that's my number, please call Toyin that only her should come!
Barrister Mayowa: My Toyin Tomato (extends his hand to shake her) you are a good friend, cheif taught you well, I am so proud.
Toyin: (Shaking) Thank you sir, so whats the way forward. I'm ready to tell to go and report to panel.
Barrister Mayowa: I'll take the case, but she needs to inform family and school panel, so they can investigate and encourage her. Its for free by the way.
Toyin: (Kneels down) Thank you uncle, God bless you sir.
Barrister Mayowa: Its no problem, take care of yourself and Naomi, ooo... God will be with you.
(THEY EXIT THE SCENE,LEAVING MAYOWA ALONE IN THE OFFICE)
Barrister Mayowa: Ah, all these Nepo babies of now a days, bi awa no o se studenti rii, tele no, ke de oro ba, tori Olohun a da be wa o. Iré o!
